Picking out the right sized live Maine Lobster might be a little harder than one could imagine. Will a Chix lobster or 1.25 lb be large enough for my guests, is there enough meat in them. Should I buy 1 each or 2 each Chix or 1.25 Lb lobsters per person or one 2.5 Lb lobster? Maybe I can help you out by describing the lobster sizes and the lobster weight you will be receiving.
My answer if you are going to buy two small lobsters per person is go for the 2.5 pounder, much more than twice the meat. My choice is always a 2.5 to 3.0 Lb lobster. Might as well splurge and be satisfied not looking for more to eat.
