Manhattan Clam Chowder Recipe

I have never seen this dish on a menu even in Manhattan; I think it is a myth.
Something the Yankee fans made up to bother waiters about on the Cape and Boston. It is red in color and should be called soup if it is really made in Manhattan. Ask A-Rod if you see him about it maybe he knows. Tell him you heard that it can improve hitting in the play offs, ouch. But then he has to find it.  2009, he must of found a restaurant that serves Manhattan Clam Chowder or Kate knows how to make it; oops  or Cameroon, oops whomever's on the on deck circle. Go Red Sox!
It's actually vegetable soup with chopped clams in it. It is a tasty lower calorie clam chowder than the cream and butter based. It comes from Portugal.
